E-education/learning: An over view

Globalization of economy has brought new opportunities and challenges in all the areas of human endeavor including education. As in other sectors, higher education institutions have to adopt new strategies to make best use of opportunities and to counter the challenges. Our world is changing, and information and communication technology (ICT) is central to this change. Digital media has revolutionized the information society. These advances in ICT have dramatically changed the learning and teaching process, and have expanded new learning opportunities and access to educational resources beyond those traditionally available.
