Attitudes of post graduate students of davangere university among the use of library resources: A study

Abstract

Information is essential commodity for study, teaching and research. Libraries in the higher education play a crucial role in fulfilling the information needs of the users. In the study the researcher has covered two P.G. Centers in Chitradurga city affiliated to Davangere University. The required data was collected through survey method. The findings of the study revealed some interesting results the 100% (365) for books and news papers, 91.78% (335) for journals and 84.93% for magazines are aware. 93.15% (340) for CD-ROMs, 78.08% (285) for e-books, 71.23% (260) for e-journals, of electronic information resources are aware. Students need training in using the both kinds of information resources in the library.
