Gender based analysis on job satisfaction of lis professionals in MP: A comparative study

Abstract

The objective of this study presented in this paper is to examine the effects of gender based difference on the job satisfaction of LIS Professionals in Madhya Pradesh. The data is collected by surveying LIS professionals working in 227 NAAC grade college of Madhya Pradesh which includes 112 males and 115 females. Several aspects of job satisfaction are analyzed which are work environment, monetary gratification; personal growth development and information communication technology. Independent T test which is also known as Levene's Test for Equality of variance was run to test whether there is difference of variance between the dependent and independent variables. The result of research was that there were statistical differences found in Monetary gratification and work environment where as no statistical differences were found in case of Personal Growth and development and Information Communication Technology.
