The present study is based 2054 papers for the period from 1998 to 2018, taken from Web of Science on the topic of Lithium ion research in India. An attempt has been made to e xamine growth of literature in the field of lithium ion research in India. Author productivity and journal productivity has also been examined by the application of Lotka's law of author productivity and Bradford's law of scattering respectively. Results indicate that literature growth has followed an exponential growth pattern with doubling period of 2.5 years. Lotka's law and Bradford's law have been able to explain distribution of authors productivity and distribution of journals productivity respectively.
