Participation of indian law universities in Shodhgana: An analytical study

Electronic theses and dissertations are significant source of unpublished research and it should be accessible to all for further research. The ETDs contributed by the specialized Indian law universities into Shodhganga is the main concern of this study. Data collected from Shodhganga website are analyzed and interpreted. There are 153 full text theses deposited by 10 law universities out of 21 in Shodhganga while other law universities are not contributing or have not even signed MoU. The law universities should contribute their research output into Shodhganga available with them in print format after scanning as well as in born digital format. The library staff should play their key role in promotion of open access movement by making scholarly products of the university accessible for new generation researchers.
