During demonstration of cervical vertebrae for the BDS students in Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, it was observed that 2nd cervical vertebra fused with the 3rd cervical vertebra. In this case bodies, arches and spines of vertebrae were completely fused. It may lead to certain neurological problems depending on the severity of the block. It can increase stress on the inferior and the superior intervertebral joints. It can lead to an abnormal angle in the spine; there are certain syndromes assosiated with block vertebrae; eg. Klippel Feil syndrome.
