Infertility is one of the most tragic of all marital problems. Male factor contributes for about 30–40% cases of infertility. Oligospermia is one of the commonest causes of male infertility. In alopathic system, commonly Testosterone, Clomiphene citrate, Tamoxifene and Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG) are used to increase sperm count. However these drugs are expensive and produce several adverse effects like gynaecomastia, hepatic carcinoma, deep vein thrombosis, lowering of HDL and rise in LDL, etc. In Unani System of medicine a large number of drugs are being used for the management of sexual dysfunctions and infertility but the efficacy of these drugs is not documented.
In the present paper the case studies of two male patients suffering from primary infertility due to oligoaesthenospermia treated with Unani formulation is reported.
