The responsibilities of both dental surgeons as well as patients do not end after dental implant placement. It is the responsibility of dental surgeon to formulate an individually designed schedule for maintenance of dental implants and also to motivate and educate the patient about the follow-up appointments for ensuring long-term success of the implants.
