Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) has been used for prostate cancer detection since 1994. PSA testing has revolutionized our ability to diagnose, treat, and follow-up patients. The present study evaluated PSA levels in recently diagnosed prostate cancer cases in screening. PSA was estimated by enzyme immunochemical assay in 128 patients. The study concluded that early diagnosis of prostate carcinoma is possible in the initial stage with the help of a specific investigation like PSA level. This test also helps in the screening and follow up of the patients to evaluate the progression of disease.
