The inhibition efficiency of 3-Methyl-4-Amino-5-Mercapto-1,2,4-Triazole (MAMT) on the corrosion behaviour of AI-SiC(p) composite in 0.01, 0.1and 1.0 N HCI solution has been investigated in the temperature range 30°-50°C using polarization technique. The results indicate that MAMT is chemisorbed following Temkin's model and acts as an anodic inhibitor. The inhibitor efficiency increases with increase in inhibitor concentration and also with increase in temperature for a given inhibitor concentration.
