The inhibition effect of Adhatoda Vasika Alkaloids (AVA) on corrosion of aluminium in hydrochloric acid, sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid solutions has been studied. The mass loss technique was employed at 302K-333K. The inhibition efficiency increased with increase in concentration of inhibitor and decreased with rise in temperature from 302K to 333K. The adsorption of this compound on the aluminium surface from the acids has been found to obey Temkin's adsorption isotherm. The values of activation energy (Ea) and free energy of adsorption (ΔGads) were also calculated.
