Abstract

A unique aspect of Nanotechnology is the vast increased ratio of surface area to volume present. This effect is more dominant when the macro and micro particles reduced to nano dimensions. In addition it is also known that a number of physical properties can be re -incorporated and are also nothing but the specific applications of nanotechnology. This dynamic reciprocation of ideas and concepts contribute to the modern understanding of the field and very well utilized in this paper. Broadly speaking, nanotechnology is synthesis and application of ideas from science and engineering towards the understanding and production of novel materials and devices. These products generally make copious use of physical properties associated with small scale. Nano particles or nano materials made of metals, semiconductors or oxides are of interest due to their electrical, optical, chemical, physical and mechanical properties. So the preparation of the materials depends[1] on the composition, structure and processing of the materials being studied. This paper summarizes the direct methods of examining and indirect methods of testing which are possible on certain relationship existing between the structure and properties of materials. There are diverged methods to test the science of materials to get the reliable and useful information on the properties of materials.
