Abstract

The present study aims to find organizational and personal predictors of effectiveness of newspaper reporters. It also aims to find out the relationships of role effectiveness with both organizational and personal variables under investigation. The organizational variables studied are organizational climate and organizational role stress, whereas the personal variables studied are biographical information and journalistic writing attitude. The results obtained depict significant relationships of role effectiveness with both organizational as well as personal variables. Further, the results also indicate that both organizational and personal variables studied significantly predict the role effectiveness of the newspaper reporters.
