Fibular hemimelia is a rare condition primarily related to aplasia or hypoplasia of the fibula due to interference of fibular field of limb bud development during fetal period. The condition is often associated with other lower limb abnormalities. The authors report a unilateral fibular hemimelia with complete absence of fibula and four-ray foot in a newborn. Antenatal ultra-sound suggested the condition. Baby at birth showed anterior bowing of tibia, overlying skin abnormalities, four-ray foot and partial cutaneous syndactyly on affected side. X-ray confirmed the total absence of fibula and associated tibial abnormality.
