<p>It is a well-written book having 30 chapters in 5 sections. Book has tried to cover the basic needs of the neonatologists, pediatricians, practicing physicians, medical students, postgraduates, nurses and also the administrators interested in care of the newborn. The Indian touch given to the management of neonatal illness in many of the chapters is commendable. However, the guidelines for resuscitation and hyperbilirubinemia need to be modified as per newer recommendations.</p><p>Overall this book may be useful to treating physicians for recollecting points about different situations in a NICU and especially good for residents during bedside management. Manual gives an added benefit of CD of neonatal procedures. The CD would be of immense benefit to physicians and residents in almost all settings ranging from peripheral health facilities to large teaching institutions. Visual aids in the CD with detailed descriptions will give enough confidence to residents and postgraduates to carry out the procedures on their own.</p></sec></body></article></article></body></html>
