Thrombosis in neonates is uncommon and usually related to vascular catheterization. We report an unusual case of spontaneous thrombosis of abdominal aorta caused by polycythemia and dehydration. Colour Doppler and MR Angiography revealed an intraluminal thrombus in abdominal aorta. Patient was treated with heparin and urokinase and the thrombus disappeared without any need of intervention.
