Abstract

Continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the new paradigm in the management of respiratory distress in preterm and term infants. There is an urgent need to optimize the use of this simple but effective respiratory therapy in newborns. In this review we discuss the benefits and the practical aspect of CPAP therapy blending the science and evidence with our own experience.
