Adolescent is the period during which a person is in second genital stage of psychosexual development. Almost one fourth of India's population comprises of girls below 20 years of age. This study aimed to gather information and to identify the expected problem of premarital adolescent pregnancy. Retrospective study was conducted in two Government and two private Hospitals at Chennai, Tamilnadu, India. The data were collected from the records during 2006 -2009. The sample was the total number of premarital adolescent girls attended abortion clinic. The total numbers of samples were 4812.The findings showed that the proportions of abortion among premarital adolescent girls have increased steadily every year. It is found that there will be increasing in the forthcoming year may be 16%, 17.2% and 41.4%. It is a community health problem that warrants serious attention. So that the health providers need to understand the issues surrounding premarital adolescent pregnancy specific to their communities.
