Postpartum health beliefs and practices among women in south Karnataka: transcultural approach to postnatal care

This paper was developed from the theoretical perspective of transcultural care in Midwifery. Nurses, locally and globally, are facing new and complex challenges on account of living in a culturally diverse and dynamic world. This paper provides a timely opportunity to reflect on some of these challenges faced by midwives in postnatal care and the various ways in which they can respond effectively to them.
