Abstract

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disorder, which is potentially controllable and cannot be cured. Treatment is long term and requires continuous effort by the patient (Tham SN, Tay YK, 1995). Educating the patients about the disease not only results in knowledge gain but also enables to cope up better with the disease and comply with the treatment. The authors aimed to explore the knowledge on psoriasis among patients with psoriasis and to classify them into clusters by their level of knowledge. Our study also explored the association of knowledge with selected demographic variables such as age, sex and education.
