Abstract

This study was conducted among 40 samples in which 10 was control group and 30 was experimental group who were admitted and catheterised in ICU of Shanmuga Hospital at Salem during the month of July to December 2009. This study was aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of SCCP among the indwelling catheterised patients. This study showed significant reduction from 175 to 80 per 1000 catheter days in the incidence of CAUTI among experimental and control group.
