A descriptive study was conducted to assess the level of depression and anxiety among geriatric patients. A total of 30 samples were selected by non probability convenience sampling technique. The tool used to collect the data was Hospital Depression Anxiety Scale. Study results shown that there is a very high prevalence of depression and anxiety among hospitalized geriatric patients. Such high prevalence of psychiatric morbidity in this population needs to be addressed by appropriate mental health interventions.
