Abstract

A Study to assess the effectiveness of life style habits and stress coping among the B.Sc. (N) first year students in the College of Nursing, Chengalpattu. Objectives: 1. To assess the stress level and coping behaviors of B.Sc. Nursing first year student. 2. To intervene selected Remedial action and their application among the B.Sc. (N) students. 3. To assess the post test stress level and coping behaviors among the B.Sc. (N) students. 4. To compare the pretest and post test stress level and copying behaviors of B.Sc. (N) students. 5. To associated the degree of stress level and coping behaviors among the B.Sc. (N) students with selected demographic variables. A Pre experimental Research design was used. The sample size was 50 subjects Simple random sampling was used. Conclusion: The present study identified that the fresher have more stress and less coping strategies. Health education organization committed to developing new and effective programs for improving student's health & well being. Practical ideas and solutions are recommended by the organization every day to combat stressors.
