Toddlers can cause their parents considerable stress, and it can be difficult for parents to achieve a comfortable balance between their own real needs and those of their child. Parenting programmes are focused on short-term interventions aimed at helping parents improve their relationship with their child. This study intended to evaluate the effectiveness of home-based nursing intervention in reducing parenting stress among parents with temper tantrum toddlers. Thirty parents of toddlers (1–3 years) were selected using purposive sampling technique. Data was collected using a structured interview schedule. 93.33% of the toddlers had moderate temper tantrums and 6.66% had severe temper tantrums. There was a significant difference in parenting stress score of parents after home-based nursing intervention at 0.05 level (t=15.7, p<0.05). This showed that the home-based nursing intervention was effective in reducing parenting stress of parents with temper tantrum toddlers.
