Abstract

Motherhood is a great responsibility and it is the woman's highest crown of honour. According to WHO statement, in India, in every five minutes a woman dies from complications, related to pregnancy and child birth. Pain management continues to challenge nurses and other health care providers. Several research studies have proved that, the use of nursing interventions is a safe and effective, non-pharmacological measure in the management of after-pains. The client's wellbeing is promoted without the risk of additional invasive or drug therapies.
