Perception of the staff nurses regarding caring patients from different culture

Nurses frequently encounter patient from different culture who come to the hospital to receive care. Researchers in this study were interested to know how this cultural diversity is perceived by the nurses, who frequently meet patients from diverse culture back ground. A perception scale and open ended questionnaire were used in this study to collect the data. 77% of the nurses favorably perceived on perception scale. Nurses have given useful opinions related to cultural background, values, beliefs, customs and professional nursing care and its influence in change in patient care activities.
