Abstract

Cleft lip and palate is the most commonly occurring craniofacial developmental anomaly, affecting one in seven hundred live births. Mothers of these children are anxious because of their child's illness and don't know how to take care of them. In this study, planned teaching programme was found to be effective on the knowledge of mothers regarding pre and post operative care of the cleft lip and cleft palate children.
