A quantitative, evaluative research regarding play needs among mothers of toddler in a selected village at Coimbatore. 40 samples were selected by using stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through base line data, structured interview schedule and modified 5 point likert scale. The result of the study revealed the post mean percentage score of knowledge and attitude is higher than pretest mean percentage score. There was a significant difference between mean pretest score on knowledge and attitude of mothers of toddler on play needs. Hence, the videoassisted teaching programme was effective on play needs of toddler.
