Newborn care awareness among primipara mothers

A study was undertaken to assess the knowledge on Newborn Care among Primipara Mothers (100) in JIPMER using structured interview schedule. Convenient sampling was used. It revealed that (35%) had adequate knowledge, (61%) had moderately adequate and (4%) had inadequate knowledge. Hence, this study recommends creating awareness on newborn care is very essential during Antenatal period itself.
