Children with HIV infection have high level of stress that results in physical, physiological, psychological and adjustment problems. A study was done to assess the effectiveness of stress reduction technique on the level of stress among HIV infected children residing at Teres des hommes, Tiruvallur District. 30 subjects each in experimental and control group were selected using purposive sampling technique. The level of perceived stress reduced in experimental group after administering the stress reduction technique which includes deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation technique administered twice a week for 20 minutes and significant at p<0.001 level.
