A study was done to assess the knowledge on HIB vaccination among the mothers of neonate in Dhiraj hospital with a view to develop an information guide sheet on importance of HIB vaccination. The samples are 100 mothers of neonates of Dhiraj Hospital. The sampling technique used was simple random technique. The overall mean percentage knowledge scores on importance of HIB vaccination found to be 47.84% with SD 2.34 among the respondents. There is a significant association between knowledge level of respondents and selected demographic variables like age (χ2 =12.22), education (χ2 =9.7), occupation (χ2 =12.22), Family type (χ2 =9.8), occupation (χ2 =12.22), family type (χ2 = 9.8), monthly income (χ2 =12) and source of information (χ2 =28.3) was found. The knowledge assessed was inadequate and negative when assessed. So information guide sheet was given to maintain the adequate knowledge.
