Prevalence of PEM among preschool children in Rishikesh, Uttarakand

A study was done to assess the prevalence of protein energy malnutrition (PEM) among preschool children in Rishikesh, Uttarakand. It included 50 preschool children, a quantitative, descriptive study. Purposive sampling technique were adopted, basic anthropometric were assessed, and it was found 1 child is 3^rd degree malnourished, 9 children were 2^nd degree malnutrition, and 12 children were 1^st degree malnourished, and 28 children were well nourished.
