The aim of the study is to assess postnatal care service utilization and its associated factors among women's reproductive age group in Mekelle city Tigray, Ethiopia. The objectives are, to determine magnitude of post natal care utilization and to identify associated factors of post natal care utilization. A cross-sectional study was used with a total of 418 reproductive age group woman's were selected using systematic random sampling method. In this study 52.6% mothers utilized postnatal care service. Proportion of postnatal care service was low. Educational status, women's autonomy, number of pregnancy, place of delivery and knowledge of postpartum obstetric danger sign were the factors making a difference in utilizing post natal care service. Thus, strengthening the provision of information, education, and communication should to be increased.
