Abstract

Pnuemonitis in pregnancy is a disorder that can cause sudden onset of weakness. A case of a 28 years pregnant woman is presented here. The mother presented with sudden onset of fever and cough. Laboratory evaluation revealed a markedly positive sputum culture. The mothers symptoms are resolved upon her normal body temperature and she was discharged with less cough with suppression of bacteria. Although rare, pnuemonitis in pregnancy must differentiate from other causes of weakness and chest pain and to prevent mother and fetus from complications so that the proper treatment can be initiated quickly.
