Abstract

The experiments were conducted to study the effect of various chemicals, viz., boric acid, AL2 (SO4)3, CaCL2, AgNO3, CoCl2 and citric acid on postharvest life and quality of cut tuberose flowers. Among different concentrations used, boric acid (250 ppm), Al2 (SO4)3 (50 ppm), CaCL2 (1000 ppm), AgNO3 (50 ppm), CoCl2 (25 ppm) and citric acid (400 ppm) were found beneficial for improving opening of florets, flower diameter, useful life and longevity of spikes.
