Effect of Foliar Application of Urea and Zinc Sulphate on Growth and Flowering Parameters in African Marigold (Tagetes Erecta Linn.)

Abstract

An experiment was conducted to study the effect of foliar application of urea and zinc sulphate (0, 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5 %) on growth, flowering and flower yield parameters in African marigold (Tagetes erecta Linn.). The results revealed that foliar application of urea @ 1.0 per cent and zinc sulphate @ 0.5 per cent was found to be the most effective to obtain better growth, floral characters and flower yield of African marigold.
