The effects of bio-control agents namely, Trichoderma viride (IARI), Trichoderma viride (Local) Trichoderma harzanium (Pantnagar), Aspergillus niger and Chetomium globosum (Local) and chemicals namely; Tilt (Propiconazole), Saaf (carbenazim+mancozeb), carbendazim, Neem oil and Ridomil (metalaxyl) were studied on stem/root rot (Sclerotium rolfsii) and the growth, flowering and bulb production parameters in tuberose cv. Calcuttia Double. The bulbs were treated with different bio-control agents by dipping in spore suspension (107spores/ml) and chemical solution for 15 minute. The results revealed that all the bio-control agents were effective in controlling root rot. Among the chemicals, Ridomil was found to be the most effective. Treatments also influenced yield attributes, among the chemicals, early germinatton (9.8day) was observed in Neem oil (5%) treated bulbs, whereas Tilt (0.1%) showed inhibitory effect and delayed the sprouting (16.5 d) of bulbs. All bio-control agents proved effective in sprouting of bulbs except Aspergillus niger. The maximum leaf area (65.6 cm2) was sbservvd in Trichoderma viride (IARI) treated bulbs. The length of rachis was recorded maximum (98.0cm) in Trichoderma viride (Local) followed by Trichoderma viride (IARI). Early flowering (184.8 d) was observed in Neem oil treated bulbs whereas maximum number of days taken for flowering (237.5 d) was observed in Tilt treated bulbs. Maximum number of bulbs/bulblets (113.5) was observed in Neem oil followed by Tilt (105.6) treated bulbs. Maximum weight of bulbs and bulblets was observed in Tilt (730g) treated bulbs whereas minimum (547.7e) in Trichoderma viride (IARI).
