Abstract

In an experiment to standardize a holding solution for improved vase life of dahlia, it was observed that treatment -T7 Sucrose2%+ NaOCl-25ppm was found best than rest of the treatments and resulted in maximum value for total water uptake (21.0 ml), vase life (12.0 days), final open flower diameter in vase (3.83 cm), gain in flower diameter in vase solution (1.00 cm) without bentneck character and fully opened ffower. This treatment was found superior over control and other treatments.
