Experiments were conducted to study the role of chemical characters on year round flower production in chrysanthemum (Dendranthema grandiflorum Ramat.) cv. Co.1 under polyhouse providing artificial short and long days along with paclobutrazol application. In February, April and June planted chrysanthemum crops, combined application of 50 ppm paclobutrazol with 14 h dark period increased total N, total P, total K, total Mg and total carbohydrates but total Ca was maximum in 13 h dark period. Further, expanding the day length by 2 h coupled with 50 ppm paclobutrazol application resulted highest uptake of total N, total P, total K, total Ca, total Mg and total carbohydrates in August, October and December planted chrysanthemum crops.
