Abstract

Twenty one genotypes including named varieties of small flowered chrysanthemum were evaluated for loose flower production. Genotype White Decorative recorded maximum plant height and number of branches per plant whereas maximum plant spread recorded was recorded in variety Gauri. Significantly maximum number of leaves was observed in genotype Red Yellow Centre. Genotype Yellow recorded earliest first bud appearance. Minimum days taken to full bloom were recorded in genotype Anemone Silver. The highest number of florets per flower was recorded in variety Suneel and genotype Pompom Rosy Pink whereas, maximum floret size was observed in genotype Deep Violet. Variety Suneel recorded maximum flower diameter. Maximum average flower weight was recorded in genotype Salt Ferry Yellow. Highest shelf life was obtained in genotype Yellow Decorative. Maximum number of flowers per plant was recorded in genotype White Decorative.
