Abstract

The present investigation was carried out to find out the effect of auxins and growing media on propagation of Lilium using scaling. The experiment was laid out in trays in a completely randomized design (factorial) consisting of different auxin treatments viz., control, NAA (500 ppm), IBA (500 ppm) and NAA (500 ppm) + IBA (500 ppm) and propagation media namely, cocopeat, sand + soil + FYM, perlite + vermiculite in different combinations using four Lilium cultivars namely, Brindisi, Latiya, Elite and Brunello. The results showed that maximum propagation index (312.70) in cultivar ‘Brindisi ’when treated with NAA-500 ppm and planted in cocopeat.
