Character association and path coefficient analysis were done based on 57 genotypes of chrysanthemum grown during winter season of 1998–99. Positive and significant phenotypic association of yield with flowers per plant, plant spread and number of branches per plant indicated that selection based on these characters would be more effective for chrysanthemum improvement. The number of flowers per plant had high direct effect on yield through number of branches per plant.
