Freshly harvested seeds of three ornamental species, viz., Caesalpinia pulcherrima. Cassia biflora and Catharanthus roseus were sown on filter paper (Whatman no 1) and in sand medium and their germinability was studied. The seeds were sown at three different temperatures i.e. 20°C, 25° C, and 30°C in a BOD incubator for two years. There was differential response to temperature with reference to seed germination and their further establishment upon transplantation.
