DUS characterization of chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemum morifolium Ramat.) genotypes suitable for pot culture

The present experiment was carried out to characterize fifteen chrysanthemum genotypes according to DUS guidelines developed by PPV & FR Authority on chrysanthemum. Genotypes were characterized according to plant growth, leaf and flowering parameters. All the varieties showed variation with respect to parameters under study according to DUS guidelines. This study will be useful for breeders, researchers and farmers in order to identify distinctiveness in chrysanthemum genotypes and to seek protection under Protection of Plant Varieties and Farmers Rights Act.
