Response of gamma irradiation on bulb and bulblet parameters of tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.) cv. Prajwal

Abstract

The present investigation was carried out to study the response of gamma irradiation on bulb and bulblet parameters of tuberose (Polianthes tuberosa L.). The results revealed that lowest decline trends were recorded on bulb per clump (2.73, 14.69), bulb fresh weight (g) (68.67, 388.75), bulblets per clump (25.13, 25.73), bulblet fresh weight (g) (60.34, 73.86), clump weight (g) (275.06, 574.90) and propagation coefficient (%) (507.91, 673.68) parameters at 2.50 Gy gamma irradiation in V1M1 and V1M2 generation respectively as compare to control.
