Fifty-seven genotypes of chrysanthmum were used for variability studies during winter season of 1998–99. The phenotypic coefficients of variation (PCV) were higher than those of genotypic coefficients of variation (GCV) for all the characters studied. However, higher GCV and PCV estimates were found for number of flowers per plant followed by number of branches per plant and disc diameter. High heritability with high genetic advance was observed for number of branches per plant, disc diameter, number of petals per flower and yield of flower.
