The effect of method of planting, varieties and spacing on plant growth and flower production of Asiatic lily was studied under Ludhiana conditions. The effect of method of planting and its interaction with variety and spacing on plant growth and flowering characters were observed to be non-significant. The plant height and flower diameter of cv. ‘Vada’ was observed to be significantly better than other two cultivars, whereas, maximum plant height and flower diameter were recorded under 30 × 15 cm spacings. The minimum days taken to bud initiation, bud loosening and bud opening were observed in cv. ‘Milano’ and maximum in cv. ‘Avignon’. Maximum number of leaves or stem (96.46) as observed in cv. ‘Vada was found under 30 × 15 cm spacing level.
