An attempt has been made to link the behavior of the flower during dry storage with quality parameters which influence the dry vase life of flower. High degree of environmental influence was found to influence most of the characters. Dominant and epistatic gene action was found on characters like per cent inner conduit. Possible ways to increase the absorption rate of water by stem was discussed. A path coefficient study on recovery of stem bending was also discussed.
