Abstract

An experiment was conducted at AICFIP, NARP, Ganeshkhind, Pune-7 to study the effect of various nutritional levels on yield and quality of gerbera cv. Sunway in FRBD with 27 treatments and two replications. The results of the study revealed that application of nitrogen @ 15g/m2/month significantly produced more number of flowers (29.88), flowers with longer stalk length (47.33 cm) and with larger diameter (8.75 cm). Application of phosphorus @ 20g/m2 /month significantly produced more number of flowers (29.55) per plant and flowers with larger diameter (8.70 cm), while application of potassium @ 15g/m2 /month significantly produced more number of flowers (29.00) per plant, with longer stalk (40.61 cm) and with larger diameter (8.55 cm). The interaction of 20:20:15 g N:P:K/m2/month significantly produced more number of flowers (36.50) per plant and flowers with larger diameter (10.50 cm) over the rest of the interaction treatments.
