Abstract

An experiment was carried out to study the effect of pulsing solution, packaging material and storage duration on the post-harvest life of gladiolus cv. Nova Lux. Among all the pulsing treatments, sucrose [20%] + A12(SO4)3 [200 ppm] was found better for most of the floral traits; whereas among all packaging and storage treatments, spikes wrapped in brown paper and stored for 72h at 4°C was found suitable for enhancing the longevity of cut spikes.
